Opera using way too much computer resources.

I have an MSI GT73VR 6RF. Specs: Intel i7 6820HK / GTX1080 full version / 32GB of Ram / 1080p 120hz monitor / 512gb NVME drives *2 running in raid 0. If you request anymore information please feel free to ask. Over the last week or so I have noticed that Opera has been using a lot of CPU resources when in the past it never jumped above 5% total CPU it is now using a minimum of 25% with only one tab open and it occasionally will jump to 100% CPU for no reason. I love using opera over any other browser currently available but it seems unless there is a fix I may have to resort to a different program. My laptop with upgrades cost over $4000 so it shouldn't have trouble running a browser program. In the past I have had 50+ windows open with over 400 tabs between all of them and it barely used half the ram and almost never touched CPU or GPU. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you.
