Google turns off VPN

When I access any website with the word google in it, VPN turns off immediately and cannot be turned on again. Once I leave that site, VPN turns on at once. Is that normal?

Yes. You should be able to turn it off at settings page.

I'm saying that it's probably the VPN bypass when using a search engine. Check opera://settings/vpn

I did not use the Google search engine!
I used a Google maps URL and VPN turned off.

Well, I've just checked here and Google Maps isn't turning the VPN off, so I guess it's not something being done by Google or Opera. Unless it's something region specific.

Checked the Bypass thing and that fixed it.
