MacOS menu bar vertical space preserved in fullscreen mode

Opera in fullscreen mode preserves space for OS menu bar when switching to it from a desktop. When switching from another fullscreen application everything works fine.
Issue appears even in last (56) version.
First mention of this problem was 7 months ago (https://forums.opera.com/topic/25507/macos-menu-bar-vertical-space-preserved-in-fullscreen-mode).
I love Opera but this bug is really annoying!

I also have this issue. If you exit full screen and re-enter it, it goes away. The second you tab away or switch to another screen in mission control it comes right back. Very annoying bug.

I'm trying to reproduce this issue on Opera Version:56.0.3051.31 running on macOS 10.14 and it seems like I'm not affected by this issue. I will report back if I start to experience this issue. What version of macOS are you running on?
