Unable to sign in to Opera Mini

I have been trying to sign in to my opera mini app for the last 2 days, to no avail. I receive a connection error every time ... Connection Error - cannot sync data. Try again later. I have read multiple posts about this but nothing seems to have been resolved as of yet. I love opera I use it on my laptop and have multiple bookmarks that I would like to access on my phone. I have tried all the offered advice eg: delete app and reinstall, delete all bookmarks that come when first downloading app etc. but again nothing as worked. Please opera this error seems to have been going on again/off again for a while now if the dates are correct on the forums. a resolve or even some feedback on how to overcome this would be greatly appreciated
