Is The SaveFrom.net Extension Malicious?

A couple days ago the SaveFrom.net extension was blocked by Opera with a message that it was malicious. I removed it from Opera but recently noticed it's still in the Opera Addons. I've reinstalled it and Opera hasn't complained about it since. So is it bad or not?

I've been using it for ages on Firefox, and I've never thought that there was any problem with it.
It works well, especially on sites like Vimeo, Facebook and Instagram.
