Whatsapp doesnt work when sidebar unpinned.

When unpinning the sidebar you get a nice clear sidebar in the quick dial page, the flow and the bookmark button I have pinned work but when I press the Whatsapp button it says "open WhatsApp in the handy side panel when the sidebar is pinned". Could it be made that WhatsApp works without the sidebar pinned, at least in the quick dial page?
