Microphone in google translate doesn't work

In GC (chrome), when you choose the mic icon, it shows a red curcle around the mic, but in Opera nothing happent. Can't record sound from GT (translate), but i can in midomi.com.

Don't know. Other browsers like Edge and Firefox can use the mic?

@leocg I don't know about Edge, but Firefox doesn't even have mic icon in translation page.
But Opera if have mic icon, why can't record? Not even asking if i want to use mic. No action at all. Maybe is about Google permissions?

Maybe it's just another Google service that only works fully correct with the Google browser. Not very uncommon.

If you're talking about the "translate by voice" mic button in a google search result like in https://www.google.com/search?q=translate+usted+to+english, then yes I can confirm. It works in Chrome and not in Opera. Clicking it in Opera does nothing. No errors in console (unless you click it again, but that's because things didn't work right with the first click).

I think there's an older post about this too.

The same issue happens at duolingo.com too. See https://forums.opera.com/topic/27848/duolingo-doesn-t-work for that.

I think it's an Opera bug or something that Opera doesn't support yet.

Just a google search result page that has a translate result that shows the mic. I don't know how to get the mic button to show at translate.google.com

Edit: Now I see. You have to set a specific language. It won't show for detect language, which can make sense.
