Closed Threads Still "Live"

I posted to a thread, and after I posted I found that leocg had closed the thread.
I was very surprised to find that even after the thread was closed, I could still edit my post!
It looks as if closed threads are just closed to new entries, but are not "locked", which means existing posters can still alter their posts, as long as they are still within the thirty minute editing window.
Not ideal I would have thought, surely only a moderator should be able to make any change to a closed thread!

Even after the 30 minutes limit?
as long as they are still within the thirty minute editing window.
Not according to this ^^^

It would be very strange indeed if you could edit any post after the thirty minute window, and certainly not in a closed thread!
I was merely drawing the attention of the mods to the fact that even after they've closed a thread, which should then be locked, people who have posted to it recently can apparently still alter their posts, which is not a good thing IMO.
