Is there a way to use whatsapp and fb messenger without having to pin the sidebar?

Or is there a way to pin the sidebar only on the speed dial page? I don't like having the pinned sidebar while browsing.

Yes. When trying to open Whatsapp on the unpinned sidebar it says:
"Open WhatsApp in the handy panel when sidebar is pinned."

I want to open Whatsapp with the sidebar not pinned, preferably on the home tab.

I don't like having the sidebar pinned on every page I visit.

@tlatch89-0 It seems that it's not possible, probably because it would break the idea of the sidebar.
