Exactly what I was wondering!
I used it religiously and now it just links to a page recommending the Opera apps.
I hope they explain to us why.

@leocg A site that I used to know what football/soccer games were coming up and the latest sport news. Now when I try to go to it, it brings up this website.

Please bring back opera sports! There is no other website like it , I miss it sooo much I really like the news articles and it keeps me up to date on some sports I would otherwise forget about.

Strangely, when tested the website opened and worked fine until clicked on the top left Opera menu button.

I've not found a way to regain the access, despite delete the cookies, trying on another browser, using the VPN...

I guess that site was a remnant from the other Opera company and has been terminated.

@johnsu About two years ago a Chinese consortium bought the part of Opera that makes the browsers. This is current Opera Software.

The other part of the company recently changed its name to Othello Corporation.
