Opera user-agent missing the OPR segment?

  • I just installed Opera on my Mac, and when I look at the user-agent string, it does not contain an "OPR" segment. Every resource I can find on the internet claims that Opera identifies itself using the "OPR" segment. Is this a new change to Opera?

Here is what I see now:

    window.navigator.userAgent
    "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_13_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/67.0.3396.87 Safari/537.36"

  • @domanite What opera://about (Or Menu > About Opera (or the equivalent on Mac)) says?
