News Bar - cannot turn it off

Hello.
I have a problem with turning off the news bar. It appears at the start window below the bookmarks bar and the proposed bar. Is it possible, and if so, how can I do it?

@vilraen What news bar? There is no news bar in Opera.

Click the easy-setup icon at the top-right of the start page and turn off "Show News". Turn off "Show Suggestions" too if you want. If you don't want the bookmarks bar showing, right-click it and turn it off.
