How do I get bookmarks back? Please help!

Hello,
I just deleted Opera and downloaded it again due to issues I was having with Facebook, but all my bookmarks are gone. I have been using Opera for quite some time, and need the bookmarks I had saved, some of which are not on my other browsers. I tried importing the bookmark file as html, but it didn't work. Can someone help?? Thank you.

@joelzenny Did you make a backup before deleting it? Was sync enabled?
