What is "tg": Protocol in Opera ..?

I am using Telegram in Opera but I can not open new web of Telegram.
Shown a window
"Unknown Protocol : Opera was unable to open the link since no application associated with "tg:" protocol was found on your system"
May be any setting problem in Opera web ?
Please to guide me. Thanks

@kinza You need to associate that protocol to a program in your system.

Thanks I solved my tg protocol broblem with the help of you.
one more problem I have.
This is an error I face in the joining any group or channel
Method: channels.joinChannel
Result: {"_":"rpc_error","error_code":400,"error_message":"CHANNELS_TOO_MUCH"}

@kinza There's a server side limit on number of channels you can join

the maximum count of public groups or channels that you can join is 500. Then you'll start getting the CHANNELS_TOO_MUCH error. There's no way to fix this.
