Full screen does not hide status bar

Full screen works OK, but the status bar is not yet hidden.
On a small screen every pixel is precious.
Can this be fixed ? -

if you're on a newer version of android you should be able to use the expanded desktop feature on a per app basis. check in settings / display / expanded desktop to see if you can choose. otherwise you'll have to toggle it on and off as needed.

@leocg where is this setting? I did not find such feature in the latest beta build available in the playstore 47.0.2249.129321

@leocg first of all thanks for the quick feedback, but this is not the same feature, we are talking about. at least I think OP means the status bar of android, basically immersive mode. that's missing in Opera if I'm not mistaken. would be great to have it implemented like Samsung did in their browser.

I'm using Android 8.1, but so far Opera Beta could not be set to full screen without StatusBar.

@leocg No problem. I'm using Samsung Internet Browser, which has this feature, but I would prefer Opera for other reasons. Unfortunately, because of AMOLED screens, this is a must have function in longterm.
I couldn't check if the Hide statusbar setting is available in non Samsung devices.
