Is there is any way to disable extensions to show on every website in address bar?
      Screenshot of omnibox

In 52 extensions appeared only on preset pages. Now its shows inactively on any webpage.

The "right-click -> Hide from address field" option doesn't work? There's a checkbox in opera://extensions for it too. (At least for the Download Chrome Extensions extension).

I know about that. I need to make extensions shows only on predefined (by extension) pages, like it was in 52.
52: Icons shows only on predefined pages
            53: Icons shows inactively everywhere

Gotcha. I see what you're saying and can confirm.

This is not strictly regression. It's rather intended change to improve security through more transparency. We followed chromium here as they have it implemented some time ago. Most visible difference here is that we still show extension pageActions inside address field, while chrome has already move page action onto address bar together with browserActions.

For Chrome it's been years so that page_ and browser_actions are of same. Though I like it very much how Opera has had it 😕

With browser_action is not possible to appear/disappear when needed/not.

OK perhaps there's (where?) more unification of processes but still extensions can be hidden also from the common toolbar never surfacing into view ~~~ unlike page_action.

Sure both of those can be managed (icon visibility) from opera://extensions. So if this experiment isn't going further with a new wheel <_< perhaps the old way wasn't that troublesome after all.

                  How does FF have it?

At least don't leave them hanging empty to omnibox....

This problem still exists and is still annoying. Any chance to revert to pre-53 behavoiur via a flag? Or per extension via a checkbox on extensions page?
