Unable to remain logged in

I just started using Opera 53. Why do I no longer stay logged in to this forum? I have to log in every time after shutting down Opera and launching it again. I have allowed cookies, and they do not get cleared out when I exit.

@concretable It's no happening here with Opera for Windows.

Does the same happens with other browsers?

I can remain logged in with Safari. I am unable to log in at all with Pale Moon or SeaMonkey. The button at the top of the page still says "Login", even though looking at the "Opera Account" page shows me that I am signed in.

I had no problem with previous versions of Opera.

I guess the logins work differently now. I gave Opera access to my keychain and now when I click "Login", my information is entered automatically. What was wrong with doing that with cookies?
