SmoothScroll for Opera

Running 52.0.2871.99 - Opera is up to date, Stable, on Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS (x86_64; Unity) but can't seem to get SmoothScroll ext to work after installing it. I like and used smooth scrolling on Firefox all the time. Awhile back Opera had a smooth scroll ability then it was lost. Anyway to get this handy smooth scroll feature back for Opera?

Have tried a couple other extensions for smooth scroll but they don't work either. Is there one that does work?

@cybrsaylr If enabling the flag didn't help, most probably an extension won't do either.
