I think the top of the browser on the Speed Dial page is brightened, whitened? so that you can easily see the Speed Dial, Stash, and Discover buttons. Otherwise with a dark theme, that wasn't made lighter at the top, they might be hard to read. I hate to have my themes interfered with, but I think that's the reason, and I can understand it. Now if we had the option to keep the theme as it is, or make it whiter at the top for better viewer of the buttons, it might be perfect Still, if it can't be done easily, it's asking for too much. Even as it is, the theme feature is terrific. And I love finding jpgs for wallpaper, right clicking on them and turning them into themes.

@lem729 They are talking about the tool bars in Opera browses user interface (UI) and wishing they could be changed from their rather grey drab colour to something that fits the rest of the chosen colour scheme, which skins (found on old Opera) allowed and supported. Nothing at all to do with the backgrounds of the speed dial page.

well thats why i want to have control i like any colour but white i dont like it. and you like white. if we would have full control over themes you could make it more white and i could make it red, blue, black or green and also i should have change color of text so if i choose black i can set text color to white like this.
no i am not really talking about toolbars i just want more control on theme so it could have much more personal interface. if i would want to make a red theme i cannot because half of the browser always white i dont like it.
