Opera using insane amount of memory!

For the last 3 days Opera has been using close to 2k MB of ram constantly for one tab open. I only have 5 extensions and I even tried disabling all of them. All I am doing is watching youtube and browsing the net. My task manager says there are 21 listings for "Opera Internet Browser". What is going on!?!?

Disabling adblocker didn't work, A large chunk of it is youtube, but other pages also give a larger than normal RAM usage. I tried this on my laptop and it doesn't do the same thing. The task manager still shows a large number of of listings from Opera. Installing and booting up a portable version does the same thing even with just speed dial open.
I am using windows 10. Opera version 52.0.2871.40

This is the regular and expected behavior for any Chromium based browser.

Get tab suspender ext.
Also some extensions harvest RAM and like never releasing, check Opera's task manager to see what extensions are high on RAM/cpu consumption then just quickly disable and enable the fat ext. U can do that instead of restarting the browser.
GPU task also is a fat hoarder sooo sloooow to release any: kill it it will be back up in seconds but much more lightweight.
Perhaps Chromium based browsers should have tighter weight watching!? Veganize em!
