Opear opening delayed

Recently I noticed when I clear my cache, the next time I click on the Opera icon and try to open it, it takes an average of 20-25 seconds for it to appear on my screen. I use Ubuntu 16.04 LTS operating system. I have changed nothing on my computer and haven't downloaded any new programs or apps. It seems like it started with a recent update or upgrade to Opera itself. Any ideas?

@mattr1963 You mean that Opera takes too long to open this forum? What about other browsers?

No. At the end of the day I normally clear all my cache and browsing history. The next day when I try to open Opera, it takes an average of 20-25 seconds for it to appear on my screen after I click on the Opera icon. This did not start happening until a recent update to Opera.
