Unable to edit bookmark name

Two questions here:

I add the bookmark.
I want to go back and change it's name.
When I click on the <Edit> Pen-looking icon I see a blank page.
I cannot edit the name of the bookmark.

In the Bookmarks Bar i click on the name of the bookmark and right click to delete it. Instead I am taken to that webpage. So it seems I can only delete Bookmarks when I am in Bookmarks Manager.

@wikid 1) It works here on Windows.

2. Here, right clicking on an entry in the bookmarks bar give, among others, the option to 'move to trash'.

Try to click a Folder (In Bookmarks tab) so it opens in drop down menu & then right click on one of the bookmarks inside this folder. I do not see a 'Move to Trash' option there.

You have to open "Bookmarks" from the Bookmarks menu and get the list of bookmarks in the browser interface in order to edit.

@wikid Please explain what you call 'bookmarks tab', because there isn't anything with that name in Opera.
Would you be talking about the bookmarks bar? Even using it, there is the 'move to trash' option.

Yes 'Bookmarks Bar' I meant.

This is the version of the Opera I am using on my MAC. I have an older mac i can't update to High Sierra 10.13

@wikid What do you see when you right click on an entry on bookmarks bar? Maybe Mac menu is different.

I see.
In Chrome I was able to edit/ remove the bookmarks from the Bookmarks Bar. It was very useful. If Opera does not allow it then that is fine.

When I right click on an entry on bookmarks bar, I see no drop down menu. It just takes me to that website.
