Opera crashing when uploading video to Facebook

Hello,

so I have this quite an annoying issue with facebook for a while now, I can't seem to post a video on my facebook page, any video that is. Whenever I try to upload a video to my facebook page, entire tab simply crashes, this does not occur with other browsers.

Would be happy if anyone knows solution to this or if this is a problem in opera itself.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I'm on Windows 10, Opera version 51.0.2830.55

Hi, it's specific to facebook?
you tried to clean cookies and clean cache from facebook?

try to clean "%temp%" files in your pc.

One week ago I started to have a problem with opera and facebook. I have a facebook page, and when I want to upload some video, tab just freezes and all I can do is to close it with some delay. Everything else is doing fine. Also when I try this same thing with mozilla, it works. Why is this happening?

Hi Milan, this problem starts when you upgrade opera to latest version?

try to upload a video in MP4 or MOV format for "Only me" share settings to see if he uploading.

for freeze tabs try to clear %temp% files in your pc.
I tried here upload a simple video with opera Stable and my video is uploaded ..

In Otherwise be sure to Opera Turbo is in OFF (that's important)

@rodrigowbs Hello, sorry for late reply, I've just tried cleaning all cookies and cache from my browser (entirely), did not help and yes, it's specifically only facebook for some reason.

My recommendation now, is make a backup for all your files
(if you have opera Sync account, he backups automatically )

after anything you need to download the Off-line Opera setup Here.

But not install it.. only download.

Now, you make a Clean Install

Backup your files

topic's about backup data

backup the bookmarks files located in Opera's profile folder.
C:\Program Files\Opera developer
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Opera Software\Opera*

backup files on those folders in your pc...

After backup..
uninstall Opera From your computer.
Erase content from %appdata% and Appdata
delete all traces of opera from your pc.. and them,

now you install the opera again
(What you've previously downloaded)

after install, login in facebook and try again
if nothing of this is working...
please submit a bug report to opera or try
Opera Beta or Opera developer

I tried both mp4 and mov files, and both doesn't work in opera, while both work at the same time in firefox.

Opera TURBO is disabled.
