How To Remove Speed Dial Completely

I detest Speed Dial. How can it be removed from showing up?

@aryedirect You can't remove but you can hide it in settings. You may need to enable advanced settings.

@leocg Actually, there are no advanced settings as a category of settings, nor could I find anything that can make Speed Dial disappear.

@aryedirect In settings page, enable advanced settings at the bottom left. Then in browser > start page, enable the option to hide speed dial.

This is my question too; I'd like to remove or hide the speed dial window.
I don't find any advanced settings anywhere in the settings menu. Could it be under a different name?

@costica Maybe Opera for Mac doesn't have such option?

What do you see on the bottom left when you open the settings page?

The option to hide speed dial should be in 'start page' section, just below the one to disable the start page search field.

I'm running Android...

I'm not sure what you mean by "bottom left"; when i open the settings i get a list, the last items of which are "report a problem", and "about Opera".

@costica There isn't such option in Opera for Android, so there's no way to disable Speed Dial.
And by the way, posting in the correct forum is part of the rules of these forums.
