I want to save a shortcut to a web page.
As I cannot drag and drop the URL, is there a shortcut to create one? In earlier versions there used to be Ctrl + Shift + S, which is now assigned to the extension bar toggle.
I know "the long way" (ie creating a link, entering the URL, giviing it a name), but I need a shorter way for this.

Some particular reason you can't drag and drop the URL? (Most obvious would be using Opera in fullscreen mode of course, but wondering if there was something else I was missing.)

In the early days it used to be possible in every browser to drag and drop a symbol left of the URL anywhere. Now there is no symbol anymore.

Neither is it possible to click into the URL and to drag anything, nor to select the whole URL and to drag it, so that a shortcut is created.

Furthermore there is no application menu entry or context menu entry that would allow to create a shortcut.

How do you create a shortcut? Maybe you could post a screencast. 🙂

Or do you have a link to the documentation of Opera, where creating a shortcut is described?

I were not able to find anything, which would allow me to create a shortcut except for manually creating one.

Drag the "badge" (the globe or lock icon) left of the address, actually. Though it may also work to drag the tab from the tab bar. Not on my Windows machine at the moment - was when I wrote the earlier reply - or I'd check.

Weird ... last time I tested the badge, it did not do anything - okay, now I got one way to create a shortcut - yay!

What about having a keyboard shortcut assigned to this functionality? It would also be convenient to have a menu entry like "Send to ..." or "Share" for that purpose.
