      Hi,

I want to use Opera instead of Firefox because i think its the best web browser in the world, engine-wise. But im forced to use firefox almost all of the time because in firefox i can go in about:config and set browser disk cache to false and capacity to 0, RAM Cache to True and add Browser.cache.memory.capacity and set it to a high number ..

I confirmed my firefox indeed uses RAM * Only for cacheing. theres only tiny kb for cookies written

Its stupid and nonsensical for us people with SSD-Computers and Flash Based Molble Devices to be having GBs and GBs of useless writing to our Flash just from browsing and watching videos. This should even be a default now-a-days

MY SSD in my computer hardly writes because 99.99% of writes are browsing web, the pagefiling which i DISABLED and temp parameter which i have pointed to an R: RAM Drive

My cheap SSD is going on 8 years old and has the age of someone elses that is 8 WEEKs old because I do this

Can someone please contact the devolopers and tell them to add an option to use RAM only in cacheing? RAM in computers is gigantic now , theres no reason for Drive-Cache or Pagefiling or the SWAP in Linux, its just stupid nonsese,

      Thanks,

      Tone !!

@tone303 I don't think it's possible but you can check here to see if there is a command line to allow that.
