I've just bookmarked some sites with new Opera 51 but the custom favicons aren't loading.

@leocg No.
I newly bookmarked some sites but the thumbnails in the bookmarks won't load from default to an easier thumbnail that makes bookmark browsing easier.
I just want all my bookmarks to have their custom bookmark thumbnails.

I'm updating my post.
Can there be a fix to restore my bookmarks and bookmark thumbnails back to the state of the 18th of January 2018?
Exactly as they were?
I don't want the bookmarks to look any different.Bear in mind, I have deleted some bookmarks since the issue started but I have also added some new bookmarks.
Some other bookmarks have different thumbnails than before. -

There is a Favicons file in Opera's profile. If you get back your favicons, try backing that up to prevent losing the favicons again.

@concretable I'm hoping there might be a fix to restore them back to a previous time.
BTW, how would I back them up?

@darklancer212 Can bookmark thumbnails last inside a file?
What if all the bookmark thumbnails are contained within a profile?
What if the thumbnails just aren't showing?
What if the crash forced them to hide away or something like that?
By the way, some of my older bookmarks need their old thumbnails restored.
Some are loaded with the wrong ones. -

BookmarksExtras, I would say.

The crash most probably damaged some of the files in Opera's profile folder, what did the thumbnails to be re-fetched.

@leocg Can these favicons files be restored back to their former state before the crash?

@leocg No. Not before the crash.
I didn't think of it at the time.
I downloaded a file from my profile called favicons.
I look at in pdf format.
It says it may have been damaged or the file type is not supported.I clicked on some pdf files that may have been the thumbnails but it said they no longer existed.
But what about extras?
That shows a whole page of letters and numbers and it has a file size of 15.9mb.
Can these thumbnails from before the 19th of January be inserted back into the bookmarks?
Keep the bookmarks original? -

I told you that. There is a file in Opera's profile called Favicons. Back that up and it should save the favicons.

@leocg But the thing is, I looked at some of my older bookmarks and I accidentally gave them different favicons from before.
I also have got some new bookmarks since then. Then I downloaded the favicon file but it said it may have been damaged.
Can I get the favicons uploaded from before 19th Jan 2018?
How do I upload them back to the state of before 19th Jan 2018?

@leocg Come on, there has to be some way?
I'm very desperate here.
It's not my fault I never thought something like this would happen.
Can't some sort of system be made to recover page icons from a previous time?

@darklancer212 The only chance would be, maybe, by restoring your profile folder from a backup from that time. However you would loose all information got from that time to today.
Even if a restore feature would be implemented, it wouldn't be able to restore anything prior to when it was introduced because it wasn't made any backups yet.
