Links on Facebook opening on same tab

When I click ANYTHING in facebook it opens in the same tab so that I lose my place in the scroll. How do I go back to opening in a new tab?

Could it be a problem related to Facebook site itself? When they change/update things in the site, it is not every profile that is affected.
Anyway, did you try to hold Control (Ctrl) while clicking? It will force to open in a new tab. -

Clicking with the middle mouse button should open the link in a new tab too, if you have one (it's often the wheel if you have a wheel mouse).

Even tho when ya click link and it opens in the same tab.. if ya right click link.. do ya see the option *Open link in new tab.. *just ask 'n.. Does that happen in other Browsers..
i've had bad profile once or twice that could be doing it..
if i may ask what version of Opera.. and are ya running windows 7, 8. 10..
the reason i ask is coz facebook links work fine here also leo said facebook works good..
so maybe its a problem related outside of opera.. *just say 'n..
