Can I reset my email, re; my Opera account?

Due to my change of mobile carrier, optusnet locked me out of my email there & deleted my account. May I simply submit my gmail.com email in replacement of?

Why not? Should be no different from, say, changing your password. They will probably try to send a message to your old email saying "If you did not request this change click here" or some such, but it happens all the time.
