The '+' has vanished on the far left of my Bookmarks bar

I highly use my booksmark bar because I add sites without any text so it just shows the icon. This makes it like a whole bar of instant mini speed dials which is very handy.
My problem is yesterday on the far left side of the bar was a '+' sign and in any folder on the top line also was a 'add page' however they have vanished. I now no longer have the + sign nor the add page in any folder on the bar. Instead I now have to go through the heart to add a bookmark which takes longer.
How do I retrieve the + and where has it gone?
Although I can right click and choose 'add site' it was quicker before to just hit the '+'.
This problem is going to end my Opera experience if I cant rectify it as this was an awesome feature for me.
Now not happy. -

Think I saw somebody say Opera purposely removed it as they considered it redundant with the heart and context menu being there. But, not 100% sure.

@jens-hq I to used this pretty much on a daily bases. This was pointed out to me in my thread that I started about the same...If you right click go into options it will keep adding sites till you delete them....but if Opera would bring back the "+" it would make my day...

So it seems the last update has taken away the + button. Is there a way to get the last version back on? Also it seems that now there is no + button, the bookmarks bar can fit an extra 33% on it. Still rather have the old style back!
