opera quits when I close last active tab

In windows & linux, when you close the last active tab in the browser, you get your speed dials page and a blank tab. When I do this on my mac, opera quits instead. Is there a way to change this so that it behaves the same way as in windows, ie speed dial and blank tab?

I realise I may be missing something blindingly obvious, but I'm very new to mac.

Which version of Opera?

In Linux, and in Opera 12 for Windows, there is a setting which can make it act like that. So I presume Opera 12 for Mac would be the same ... but if you're using a later version I have no idea.

Sorry for omitting that detail! But I have both Opera 12 and 20 on the mac and it's the same on both versions. So if there's a tweak for 12, I will try that on 20, too...

The problem is, 20 (in Windows anyway) has no such option ...
