There should be a seamless and easy to use email encryption and signature in OperaMail.

Opera Mail is no longer in development.

@leocg I did not find it in the "stopped project" part of the forum. When and why was it stopped? This should be taken up again. I make this an extra topic in "Lounge".

Opera Mail didn't have its own section in the old forum.

Around 2013 when Opera started using Chromium. In fact the stand-alone Opera Mail was released just to allow those using the mail client in Opera Presto to keep doing it while using Opera Chromium.

There never was an official reason since there wasn't any official announcement about the ending of development but I would guess it was because it simply stopped worthing the efforts.
People nowadays almost don't use email to communicate between them so developing a email client doesn't make much sense.

@leocg Thanks a lot for the explanation. I disagree, however, very much about your statement "People nowadays almost don't use email to communicate between them so developing a email client doesn't make much sense.". In my experience that is not the case. So a powerful email client is a very important offer Opera should make.
