Where I can find "Master Password" for "saved password" functionality?Regards,

I'm using domain authentication.. thus... my Active Directory administrator can access my PRIVATE passwords?

@mc3 It would need to login to your computer, open Opera and type your credentials to show each password.
Most probably the company should have a policy on the use of an employee login and password by another employee.
And if the computer belongs to your employer then, in theory, everything on it belongs to them.

It is totally unacceptable.Currently there is a bug on Chromium engine that afects the passwords manager, keep that in mind.

Yes, computer belongs to employer thus "master password" allowed to secure PRIVATE area for browser passwords.
Lack of this functionality (master passwords) results (at least for me) that current version of Opera is useless (for me). I checked new Firefox (Quantum) – it is still supports “master password” so there are alternatives.It is a pity that someone made such a strange (because of what?) decision (to remove this functionality).
Maybe you should implement a choice between securing internal Opera passwords by “system authentication” OR “master password” – leave user a choice instead force him to use particular scenario.
At the moment you force me to move away from Opera.

How about a Passwords manager and an extension browser?
You'll be able to access your passwords from (mostly) any browser, even mobiles/tablets.

...The functionality was not removed from Opera, it didn't exist there in the first place after the rendering engine was changed from Presto to chromium/Blink several years ago. The underlying engine provides the mechanism for saving/securing/retrieving passwords, and that mechanism in chromium employs the encryption service of the host operating system instead of using a master password. Adding a master-password option implies creating an entirely parallel mechanism with the existing mechanism in the chromium engine, and using it in such a way that there isn't interference with all the automatic gadgetry invoked by chromium's APIs. It may be do-able, but I strongly doubt that it's a simple, straightforward coding task.
One thing to also keep in mind is that an employer is still ultimately responsible (in a legal, lawsuit sense) for what his employees do with company-owned equipment, especially from the company's jobsite(s), so it's understandable that a company would want ultimate access to whatever data an employee places on the company's equipment. Most companies require that an employee agree to only use company equipment for company purposes, in which context there should be no personally-private information on such equipment in the first place, hence no need to protect it from the company. While this isn't necessarily a popular viewpoint, it is the company's privilege of ownership.

@blackbird71 It might be difficult to code but the present solution is impractical, to say the least. To be frank, I think it's downright irresponsible to let anyone open a searchable list of "all" passwords with just a few mouse clicks just because they are are logged on to a system. Okay, you are probably right that employers have access to everything on a workstation but that doesn't mean co-workers should be able to have a quick look while someone is away for a short period of time. The problem is even worse when using Opera at home with friends or family. Just imagine what looks I would get if I logged out or activated the screen saver every time I prepare drinks. Remember, takes only seconds to get that precious Pizza Hut password. Firefox, by comparison, is not bullet proof but retrieving passwords takes more time – too much time for the casual peek.
Don't get me wrong, I like Opera but having passwords splattered all over the screen is for me a killer, no matter how polished the browser otherwise is.
