"Opera Internet Browser has stopped working" error/crash

I've been using Opera successfully for some time now and all of a sudden it will only last about 30 seconds, then freezes up with "Opera Internet Browser has stopped working".
I've reinstalled it with no change. I've gone through these forums and found two other complaints of this but no real solution. Any suggestions?

Try going to %AppData% with the Windows Explorer and rename any Opera folder "Opera software" probably.
Then try Opening Opera.
After that, go to the Opera back up link from the Signature to know how to recover any needed files, mostly Bookmarks and Passwords - in case you didn't used sync -.
Trying to recover all files, would crash your new Opera profile again.

@pattyloof
Even after rename the original "Opera Software" folder and without copy any older file?

If Opera worked fine before, has been any recent change?--
If Opera failed at the very first time, try allowing it on the Antivirus Software or test it disabling it for a while."You cannot know the meaning of your life until you are connected to the power that created you". · Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi

Yes.

I've been using Opera for months and it's worked perfectly up to now. The only thing I can think of was that I installed Desktop Calendar a few weeks ago. I'll uninstall this and see if it helps.
I don't know if it matters, but I've been having other weird things go on, such as certain games not loading. I don't know if it's related but I thought I'd mention it.

I will try this also.
