How to Create @Opera.Com Email Address

I am seeking Further Guidance And Help . I created an email address called r.. @opera.com
The problem is that it does not exist. When I send an email to that address from gmail, I receive this error message: "Your message wasn't delivered to r...@opera.com because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail."
What I Have Done Already :
After downloading "Opera Mail," I followed these setup instructions
http://www.opera.com/help/tutorials/mail/setup/By following the instructions stated there, I have successfully imported a gmail messages into Opera Mail. This means that I am able to successfully send an email from Opera to a different gmail address. However , when I send a message from gmail to my ___@opera.com email, this latter email is not recognized. Instead I get "Delivery notification failure."
Would Someone Please Offer Specific Instructions On How To Correctly Create a New Email @Opera.Com Address ?

Hi @leocg — Thank you for the reply. In other words, Opera Mail is essentially a vessel that can contain messages from email accounts for other ISPs. Outside of importing messages from these accounts, what other features distinguishes Opera Mail? What are the unique reasons for people to download and use Opera Mail? Any other functional uses that I should know about? Thanks for the quickly reply.
