VPN suddenly not connecting

A Former User last edited byI'm not sure if it's the latest version of Opera (49.0.2725.39) on my Macbook Pro (Mac OS X 10.12.6) but after never having a problem before connecting to a web site using VPN, suddenly nothing connects. It just spins around and around until I turn VPN off in Preferences. Anyone else having this issue? Nothing has changed with my provider (Fios).

A Former User last edited by@trogon123 I'm having the same issue as of a few days ago. It's also intermittent. I noticed it after having some oddness while editing a blogspot blog resulting in duplicate files due to the intermittent loss of connection when the VPN would fail and then reconnect.

A Former User last edited by@cbrown72701 Same here. I turn off and on the VPN connection button next to the URL field -- sometimes once, sometimes a few times -- to get it to change from orange to blue. Often I need to change VPN locations to get a connection. Not sure why this is happening now. The VPN always worked before without problems.

A Former User last edited bySame here. Still working fine a few days ago, just suddenly it's always connecting and never connected. I don't see any software update on my mac that might cause this. Need a solution.

A Former User last edited byThe VPN connection is erratic. Since originally posting this topic 17 days ago, VPN works some of the time for me. As I am writing this, it isn't connecting even though various locations were tried.

silverwasp last edited byMe too. Agreed, it seems much of the time that the VPN has to be shut off entirely to make the browser function at all. Opera: 49.0.2725.47
