How to delete all bookmarks and start again.

I have been playing around with Opera for awhile, off and on, and have decided to make it my default browser. I would like to delete all my Opera bookmarks at one fell swoop, and then import my most up-to-date bookmarks from Safari. I can't figure out how to do so.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Not all that familiar with Mac, but generally... in Opera's settings folder there will be a couple of files named Favorites - Favorites.db and Favorites.journal or some such. Delete both (after making certain Opera is closed).

If you were "just playing around" why not delete Opera at all and start at the beginning by installing a fresh Opera and import the bookmarks from Safari?

Hmm. Sometimes the obvious stares us right in the face and we don't see it.
