      Never thought to try 'right click'. Always used control-v.

      I thought that there would be a configuration entry that I could modify to prevent the website from disabling the ability to paste (Ctl-V). It must be under a different name as none of the .conf files had the appropriate entries. Will try the extension.

        I guess that since there is no way to paste a secure password, I must use an insecure password (one that is easily typed in without seeing what was entered) or involuntarily boycott the website. It seems that websites are encouraging insecure passwords by preventing paste of random passwords.

          @sgunhouse said in enable cut and paste on sites that disable cut and paste:

          He said cut and paste, and usually keyboard shortcuts do work.

          Mind you, there are some sites that use the rhythm of your typing as an even more secure password - if they are doing that then pasting won't help. But so far I haven't actually seen this - just read news stories about it.

          when the site owner has disabled rightclick keyboard shortcuts won't fix the issue

            @jadesword Password manager doesn't work?

            Anyway, did you try enabling the flag Autofill HTML forms even if the 'autocomplete' attribute is set to 'off'? Maybe it can help.

              hat is site specific. now that said there is an extension to fix this. "Enable Right Click"

              I cannot find such an extension to Opera 49. I know one for Firefox ("Right to click") but I sincerely miss this for Opera. Especially because Opera allows websites to disable the context menu, but saving images from a website is perfectly legal...

                Enable right click

                Allow Eight-click

                and if you don't already have it so you can run chrome extensions in opera

                Download Chrome Extension

                    Opera chrome extension downloaded and installed okay, but Enable right click immediately crashed my Opera, and since then the status of this extension remains on "checking", I cannot re-install it.

                        Try TamperMonkey ext. and "Right click" Userscript from Reek at Greasyfork.
