[Solved] Sync Passphrase trouble.

  • I recently tried resetting my sync data because my passphrase stopped working. I've tried resetting multiple times but it doesn't let me set a new one. Not sure what to do about it.

  • What exactly are you doing? Did you go to sync settings and changed the pass-phrase?

    Settings,
    Browser,
    Advanced Config under synchronization;
    Passphrase didn't work.
    Hit reset sync and waited.
    I was never logged out of Opera and it never gave me the option to set a new passphrase.
    Every time I tried, same results.

    I even logged out manually and every time I try to log in, it would say something was wrong. I let it sit for a few hours and I can log in again but am still unable to set a new passphrase.

    So when you went back to the settings you couldn't change the pass-phrase, not even after have selected the other option first?

  • Not at all. Under Synchronization, it only gave me the option to log in. My passphrase was still intact after doing so.

    And after that? Your login password is not your pass-phrase.

    And you can't change to the option that doesn't use the pass-phrase?

    BTW, did you try using your OS password?

  • I did. But it's ok now. I just signed out and signed back in. I guess it resolved itself because it asked me to set one. Guess it just took a couple of days to work. Thanks for trying to help.
