Various problems with Opera

Hi,
I'm trying to use Opera and I'm really struggling. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Firstly, I don't get bookmarks in Opera. If I go into settings and tell it I want bookmarks displayed in all tabs and try to pin bookmarks to the sidebar it doesn't happen. Instead of showing bookmarks on the left hand side where I want them (always and forever) it opens another tab with my bookmarks in. I NEVER want it to do that! One of the reasons I always want my bookmarks on the left is to move website content into the centre of my screen where I want it. I don't want content to be displayed on the left of my screen. I want it in front of my eyes!!!
Secondly, I am right handed and I want the back/forward arrows in the centre of my screen or to the right. I don't want to move my cursor all the way over to the top left all the time. With Firefox I can move the arrows where I want them. How do I do this with Opera? In fact I want to customise all of the interface and move all buttons to where I want them.
Lastly,I've selected a dark theme but the centre of my screen is still a light colour. How do I make it all dark? Can I create my own theme?
Thanks,
Leo

There is no such option in Settings.
Instead of showing bookmarks on the left hand side where I want them (always and forever) it opens another tab with my bookmarks in.
This is how things work, there is no bookmark panel. You can use an extension to get what you want.
Or you can use Bookmarks bar.
Secondly, I am right handed and I want the back/forward arrows in the centre of my screen or to the right.
There is no such option. Don't know if an extension can give you this.
