Most of Ebay pages open fine, just every time I open an item page I get :-
      "This page isn’t working
www.ebay.com.au redirected you too many times."

I remember an AVG popup when you opened some Ebay pages, but they did open. Now no popup, and no item page.

Chrome and IE11 are fine, so I assume it's something with Opera.

      I have no Extensions
I disable AVG and add exceptions
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware free doesn't run in background
I disable the ad-blocker for that page
I can't find instructions for Create a new profile folder in FAQ
I clean cache and cookies for Ebay

Every item doesn't work, but here is an example of item
      https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/XR2206-Function-Signal-Generator-DIY-Kit-Adjustable-Frequency-Amplitude-AU/162289432242?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D59d2bae3f4cb413b9190d9e21e1e5f55%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D282603132858&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%253A9be445cb-82d6-11e7-a21d-74dbd180abe0%257Cparentrq%253Aed46417115d0aa47df1fa338fff62351%257Ciid%253A1

      Error message
      "This page isn’t working
www.ebay.com.au redirected you too many times."

      Version: 46.0.2597.57 (PGO)
      Update stream: Stable
      System: Windows 7 64-bit (WoW64)

      Any ideas?

First suggestion, consider turning off the ad blocker on that site. The ad blocker also blocks trackers, and it looks like that link includes a tracker.

I clicked on the blue shield and turned it off, but nothing. Is that what you meant.

The format of my original post had points on individual lines but now it's gone, but it was in the list.

The forum is terrible about that, yes. You need to put a blank line between each list item. I debated about trying to fix the link as well, the forum converts underscore characters to italics, Easier to just use link format (see the Markdown link below the text field).

It might be because I didn't add full stops.

I don't know if it's a coincidence, but I remember 2 weeks ago when I went to Ebay pages AVG popped up some malware alert - I didn't pay attention so I don't know exactly what they were -. I might not be related, but now they don't popup - probably due to the pages not opening in Opera -. Chrome and IE don't get AVG popups, so I'm thinking Opera is doing something to those pages, or AVG has some conflict with Opera. I have an old Zonealarm firewall but turning it off does nothing.

It's got this msg "www.ebay.com.au redirected you too many times.". Is that some clue that Opera is asking for the page but it's not accepting it.

              I have another W10 x64 with MSE anti-vir, and it's fine.

I also notice the icons in Yahoo mail are black&white on the W7, but colour in the W10.

Pages mysteriously disappeared last week, and just as mysteriously they're back.

Zonealarm tells me that Opera updated today, so it looks like it was an Opera bug.

Just fixed issue with my ebay pages not opening when I click on an item:
                  Settings
                  Basic
                  On start up
Uncheck box for: Delay loading of background tabs
