I'm having trouble viewing content in fullscreen after upgrading versions. Locations: Youtube and Facebook

When going into fullscreen, there is a long freeze, hang for several seconds. Looks like there is a CPU usage drop when trying to enter that mode.

I tried an older version, e.g., Opera 28.0.1750.48 and that works fine. Instant fullscreen.

Something changed with Opera in an update along the way.

Anyone else having this problem?

Version information

Version: 46.0.2597.57 (PGO) - Opera is up to date
Update stream: Stable
System: Windows 10 64-bit

Still a problem with Fullscreen. Hangs for awhile...

Is there a work-a-round besides reverting to version 28?

Fullscreen works fine here with the same system.

Check the first section of opera://gpu to see if you are using hardware acceleration or not. Also check the bottom of the page for error messages.

Is your graphics card driver up to date?

You guessed it. Graphics card drivers for Nvidia GTX 970 were outdated. v384.94 works. Thank you!
