A red dot has appeared alongside the apparently new entry, 'Update Opera to newer version', on the menu in my Opera v.46.0.2597.39 (PGO) - Well, new to me.

Anyone know what this is about?

It's just updated to 46.0.2597.46 (PGO) and all problems (I hope) have gone.

Was the red dot + Menu entry an emergency update flag or something? Or just 'normal'?

Every update will show that red dot, unless the update has happened while Opera was closed.
