[Solved] Can't install opera

I am trying to install opera onto my pc..however after opening the installer, it shows downloading for a couple mins...and it show that opera failed to install....anyone know whats happening?

From where are you trying to download it? I was able to do it from http://www.opera.com/pt-br/computer/windows

so weird....i use download in the same place.. and i tried the link u post...still can't~ is it because of where i am? i am in hong kong

blackbird71 last edited byIf a user is located in China (including Hong Kong), it may be that the Great Firewall is currently set up to prevent downloading browser software from sites that are not 'approved' Chinese mirror sites. In that case, redirection to such a site may not be happening, either accidentally or by intention. Because Opera contains an internal VPN access, this is always a possibility. Repeatedly getting a 404 error over time in attempting to access Opera's offline installer implies that site is being blocked or the DNS service you are using has had its IP link removed.

Maybe, I don't know for sure. I guess the site tries to redirect you to a mirror near you and it may be down or something.
Try downloading from the FTP. Choose the one without 'auto update' in its name.
