Number columns in speed dial

I notice that the number of columns seems to limited to 5 despite the program giving one the option to go up to as many as 11. Any reason for this, or way around it?

The option is to set to maximum number of columns. The actual number will depend on lots of factors like screen size, resolution and so on.
