Opera Message: This site wants to download multiple times. Block? I clicked Yes and want to undo.

  • How do I undo this action and allow the site to download again? I can't find a way to do it.

    Thanks.

  • I don't remember have seen that message before. What triggered it?

  • I was downloading files from a site I use. The downloads were taking some time, so I clicked the download file button several times. The Opera message popped up. I misunderstood the Opera message to mean to block multiple downloads of the same file, so I clicked yes. Turns out it blocks all downloads, which is NOT what I want.

Now I'm trying to re-enable downloads from this site.

  • Unfortunate, maybe this article could help you out: http://help.opera.com/Windows/12.10/en/sitepreferences.html It seems like you have changed site preference issue.

  • maybe this article could help you out:

This is for Opera 12 and is not valid for Opera 46.

  • I ran into this exact problem with my Humble Bundle library. The way it gives "direct links" to download games is more like a mini app that Opera interprets as "multiple downloads" where after the first game downloaded it asks if you want to block multiple downloads from this page.

After a day of searching, this thread was the only thing that mentioned the problem. Seems Chrome has a special config page, chrome:config IIRC that Opera interprets as GoTo>Settings. In Chrome, this is actually an extended preferences page where the Ask/Block/Allow pages to start multiple downloads setting can be managed. Opera 46 has no such page or setting.

So it's off to the settings reset and reinstall for me.
