Can't remove securesurf virus from Opera.

Hey, I hope someone here can lend me a hand.
This piece of virus software is only affecting Opera on my PC and I have gone through numerous trials to try and remove it. I've used Malwarebytes, Hitmanpro, adwcleaner, Junkware Removal Tool - all of which detected issues, 'resolved' the issues but the virus still remains. Right now I am running a scan using herdProtect after which I'm gonna call it a night.
I have restored Opera back to original browser settings and even uninstalled Opera completely, and the issue is still here. I'm at a complete standstill.
There's nothing in Opera extensions about it nor anything on the Programs List on my PC.
(The virus hyperlinks random bits of text on websites and redirects to securesurf.biz which then redirects elsewhere btw.)
Can anyone give me anyyyy guidance? This isn't affecting Edge at all, just Opera.

One thing Secure-surf has also been known to do that many other adware programs don't is to alter the system 'hosts' file to redirect certain search-related URLs to its own IP(s), typically by appending new lines near the end of the hosts file. If these are present, unless they are removed, they will force any attempt to contact the associated URL's to instead route to the Secure-surf IP. If you are familiar with your hosts file, you may want to check it for alterations.
