Extension Toolbar icon: limits and sorting
-

I can't believe that these issues still haven't been addressed:
-
Extension icons in the toolbar are still limited to a rather low quantity. I haven't stopped to count the exact number but after about 12 no more will show up in the toolbar.
-
There is still no option for manually sorting the order in which the extension icons display in the toolbar. They default to the order installed which is very annoying when I want to be able to sort them by function. This means I have to uninstall then reinstall all the extensions with toolbar icons in the order in which I want them to appear. This seems rather lame and VERY user unfriendly.
Or am I missing something obvious here?

Thank you. I suggest making it similar as in Chrome, resizable icon toolbar. If you could improve on that would be even better, perhaps, adding autohide second row icon toolbar, or scrollable icon toolbar when doing double finger gesture (or mouse scrolling), or maybe like Windows, set certain icons to show only when there are notifications

It will be a shame to have to go back to chrome because of this issue. It's not like this is a minor problem. Before I realized what was happening, I spent days trying to figure out why I wan't seeing the evernote clipper icon after I have uninstalled and reinstalled it.
I can't believe that your development team allowed such an oversight to last for this long.
If it's not resolved very soon,I'm be back to chrome which will not make me happy. I left chrome because ot was eating my my system resources and horrible slow at time due to sucking my resources dry. Opera beta and developer so far are much friendly to my system so far but this icon issue is a show stopper for me.
Please fix this asap.

Seriously, it's almost 2 years later and this has not been addressed. This is what's keeping me from using Opera over Chrome. Any specific date when this will be done??

@zippychimp
there's some changes in latest developer build
they added Extension toolbar expander flag
I don't have too many icons on toolbar, so can't tell for sure how it works -

Thanks for the reply. Not sure how much I plan to stick around waiting. Unfortunately, seems like Opera development is stagnating, forcing people into bed with Chrome. Or if you're on Mac, maybe Safari, for performance reasons.

When do the team have time to give a solution to decide how many extensions appears in the toolbar?
When do the team have time to give an option to reorder the extensions in the toolbar?Thx

I agree with the OP that I can't believe these issues still haven't been addressed, and it's now more than 3 years later! There are people who want to leave Chrome and would probably be very happy with Opera...IF they could customize the extension toolbar. Opera developers are sabotaging themselves by ignoring requests like this.
