Re-arranging of extensions buttons in toolbar

Seriously, why Opera still doesn't have this included? Firefox has it, Chrome has, but in Opera, you have to strictly install extensions in specific order if you want placement of buttons in preferred order. Once it's done, you can't re-arrange them without removing them all and going in the correct order. It's absurd.
And don't point me to the extension which supposedly allows this. It always just wrecks my preferences file and such lack of basic functionality shouldn't ever exist in the first place.

Oh my god, this is literally happening again. On desktop, it obeyed my arrangement of extensions in order as I've installed them. On my laptop, it keeps on insisting that Feedly notifier is placed in front of GMail notifier no matter what I do. This is absurd. Opera has its framework copied from Chromium and yet they intentionally left out this functionality. I just don't get it. I use these things on minute basis and I demand them to be exactly where I want them. Browser having mind of its own is so annoying and infuriating. Ugh.
EDIT:
It seems to bork everything up every time it updates the extensions. That's a dumb design... -

I do not have extensions installed myself, but that should be considered a bug in my opinion. Perhaps it is worth reporting it in case no one has already.

I agree. I'm using Opera on my Mac since 1 year after trying Safari, Firefox, Chrome for decades.
This basic feature should really be included in the next upgrade. Thanks

Agreed. The benefit of having extensions is significantly diminished when the most-used extensions are more difficult to access. It should also be possible to re-size the address window in order to make more room for extension icons on the toolbar (as you can do with Chrome).
Curiously, I just discovered that I CAN reorder the extension icons in the drop-down menu, just not the ones that actually appear on the toolbar, nor can I move extensions from the toolbar to the drop-down menu or vice-versa.
To provide some context, I recently switched to Opera after Chrome became unusable (for me) due to the way it scales when Windows is scaled to 125%. So far I'm loving Opera, and don't plan to go back to Chrome, but this is a nuisance.
