is it somehow possible to get an extension icon in the sidebar?
Or access Feedly with the build in Newsreader?

First it seemed to be a similar issue. After parpaluck gave more info it seems not to be the same after all.

Same issue here. I live in Germany and use Opera 45 unter Windows 10.
Opera VPN is connecting...and connecting...and connecting.

The badge is always orange and no internet page is available while connecting.

Any ideas what could cause that issue?

I like that idea.
